This maker did not provide a link to an installation video for their product. As usual written instructions were ok but not clear. This is a great product. Instructions are VERY good. It took me 10 minutes to install, but I’m sure I could do it in less than 5 minutes now. Tailgate comes down without a big thud. The shock slows down the tailgate perfectly and everything looks neat and buttoned up. The product arrived quickly and is easy to install. It works good for controlling the dropping of tailgate, however it does nothing to help raise the tailgate. They call it lift assist. That’s false. I thought it would do both when I ordered. Installed for ease of handling tailgate on 2015 Chevy Colorado p/u truck for spouse and self. Love the ease of moving the gate. Can lift or drop one handed now. Amazing difference. Did not love that had to buy different bolts and there were no instructions included. Had to watch video’s online to figure it out.
