The CPE880 was the only one I could find that had the environmental specs that I needed since we live in Colorado and temperature can get down to -30F in rare cases. Setup was fairly straightforward (and much easier than the NanoBeam) and the system initially paired flawlessly. I did not set up any of the custom Wifi config since I already have my own mesh network.
Initially I used channel 0 but had an ongoing issue with packet loss every 10 seconds on the master side. There was solid internet before and after the POE injector but the connection failed every 10 seconds or so for about 2-3 seconds. See image one.
I dealt with this for a day and limped along and contacted support and was about to return the devices and order Starlink. Support got in touch with me and asked to see a video of the issue – See video. I also contacted Amazon’s technical support which was surprisingly attentive for such a technical issue and while couldn’t really help they seemed to grease the skids in terms of making sure I would get a new unit if I needed one.
