The last couple years I have had West Elm Tencel sheets so this review becomes more of a comparison. I have a 15″ thick mattress with a zip off pad (about 1-2″ thick). I chose these sheets due to the deep pockets and higher thread count (600 verse my 300 count WE). Taking the sheets out if the package they were definitely heavier. The first thing I noticed was these sheets did not have the smooth sateen feel and they did not feel ice cold like my WE sheets. These feel more like a standard cotton sheet with that fuzzy texture yet are shiny like Sateen sheets. My wife loved the ice cold feel of the WE sheets so she is not a fan, for me I like these new sheets because my body temperature is more constant (the WE sheets were so cold I would wrap myself in tight, start to sweat during the night, unwrap to cool down,
