[MULTIPLE SPEEDS/POSITIONS] – 3 speeds with 4-position adjustment for centralized airflow and quick drying
[LARGE AREAS] – At 1200 CFM, this floor fan has large scale commercial and home applications that is in a position to move air as much as 30 feet away
[POWER OUTLETS] – 2 grounded outlets supply added capability for any form of job. Both outlets contain overload protection
[MOBILITY] – Great for larger jobs and open work spaces. Built-in wearing care for with cord wrap for simple mobility. The K Tool International Big Chill Workforce is a great blower (fan)! It’s amazing how much air is pushed out of this little unit! I use it in my garage to stay cool. For example, it was 90 degrees in my three-car garage today but I felt perfectly cool working in front of it (at about 15 feet away)! The air steam is narrow and directional. That is, at about 12’ from the blower, it pushes a column of air 4’ wide. Get outside of that 4’ window of air and you may not feel any air at all. I like the long 8.5’ power cord (although I do use an extension cord to get it away from me).
But … what I don’t like is that there is not a lot of difference in air flow between low, medium and high speeds. The low and medium speeds are too fast. It would be better that the low speed gets low enough to allow working comfortably 3 to 6 feet away. The build quality is great using strong sturdy hard plastic. However, the casing around the wires on one end exposes the wires from the blower to the speed control (see picture). You can angle the unit so it blows straight out, up at a 60-degree angle and up at a 90-degree angle. It would have been better to provide more angle options, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 or use a variable angle design. However, I just put it on a table or workbench to get it off the floor and have it blow straight out at a 0-degree angle.
It’s a little noisy but that’s to be expected pushing 1200 CFM. At 3’ away, I measure 68.8 dba with my sound level meter on low and 71.7 dba on high. That’s about as loud as a vacuum cleaner. At 16’ away, low was 63.3 dba and high was 65.7 dba. 60 dba is normal conversation levels. Therefore, there’s no problem carrying on a conversion at, say, more than 12’ away.
In spite of some of its short comings, this still is a great blower. I would highly recommend it to anyone … so I gave it 5-stars.
[WARRANTY] – 1 year warranty on subject matter and workmanship
